In addition to the individual classes, is the Spirit Trophy. The winner was always going to be either the Dutch or British simply because they had the most teams represented. Points are awarded based on each nations positions in each class and then these are added up to decide who is the winner. Congratulations go to the visiting Dutch teams who won the coveted Spirit Trophy.
The competition was more a matter of friendly rivalry rather than serious determination. A good example of this was in the AA class where 2nd and 3rd place were being faught over by Empat Laki Laki from Holland and the UK's Random Vengeance. Everyone crowded in the day room where the Cametrix system displayed their final round 10 side by side. Slowly but surely Empat Laki Laki pulled ahead with a faster block 19. They took silver 2 points ahead of Random Vengeance.
Many thanks goes to Dutch team Ignition who showed great camaraderie by handing out 2 huge boxes of stroopwaffles to everyone. Tonight there will be a big celebration party with a BBQ and 2 bands playing music. Photos will be uploaded next week of all the teams, in air shots and more.
