Speed Skydiving Finished

So the last of the National Skydiving Championships to be held at Skydive Hibaldstow have just been completed. The remaining 2 rounds were done and dusted by 10:30am. It was a particularly exciting competition this year as it was the qualification event for the World Championships 2016. Well done to Michael Lovemore who easily took the gold medal with an average of 482.18 Km/hr. Compared to last year, he achieved a staggering 66 Km/hr average increase.

Mike should also be congratulated for his final round where he broke the British record with a fantastic 490.12 Km/hr - thats 304.6mph!

In the silver medal position, was last years' winner Jason Bird with an average of 424.80 Km/hr. Both Jason and Mikey are going to the World Air Games this December to represent the UK and with these scores could do very well.

The bronze medal went to newcomer this season James Parker who barely has over 200 jumps. He has been involved in various coaching weekends and is already well over the 400 Km/hr mark.

Good luck to Paul Bantock, Mike Lovemore, Jason Bird and Jason Bird as they compete at the World Cup in Teuge in a few weeks time.
