A quick update on the state of play. We have just gone back on a weather hold after about 2.5 hours of jumping and quite a lot of good progress has been made. Most teams are now on round 2.
In the Freestyle A, Volocity have scored a whopping 8.4 on their first round. They have been training hard this year and are up around a point average compared to last year. There is however last years' champions Varial to compete against and their first round score is not yet in. Revolution Freefly are in a comfortable second place with a 7 - not bad considering their performer Emma has just become a mum!
In the 8-way Intermediate, the BCPA have entered a team called BCPA 8.1 (where's the imagination or dirty team name?). They scored nothing on their first round and 3 on their second. In the lead are team Chunky with a total of 9 so far.
8-way Senior is looking interesting too with MicroClim8 having putting some significant training over the year in preparation for the world championships. This year they are already 3 points clear of the Ex-Presidents and a reverse roll of fortune. Scratch team ZKR are in 3rd place at the moment having scored 10 and 10. They are made up of 4-way AAA flyers NFTO, Raykipo and Thunderbirds.
In the Freefly A, it's a very very close competition with only 0.1 separating Varial in the lead with 8.5 and Euphoria with 8.4. Who wins will be the tidiest, the most synchronised and the most on level. Team Parallel are in 3rd place at the moment some way behind on 6.3.
