More sunshine, fast turnarounds and teams finishing their event

Many teams have completed their final jumps. The VFS boys have even had all 6 rounds judged. Volare were 1 point ahead of the Bad Lieutenants for much of the competition. Bad Lieutenants came close though in one round but suffered a double bust. So Volare scored 57 and in 2nd place Bad Lieutenants scored 56.

It is obvious that many of the teams in the AAA class who have not done all their rounds are getting tired. Most jumpers on the dropzone want the whole meet to complete today and it maybe possible at a push. A big part is definitely on the cards. The question is though, if you are in the top positions looking for that World Championships slot with funding, do you want to do your rounds 9 and 10 not feeling at your best?

Going back to the scores, round 6 has been judged in the Rookie class so far. At the top is Full Stop with a monster score of 102 points and in 2nd place is Gra4ity with 68. That’s a big gap. To be controversial, some would argue that Full Stop have no place in the Rookie category, however if you look at their jump numbers, total training time together and time spent in the tunnel, its not that much. Talent appears to be a big factor here. 2nd and 3rd place however are from clear yet.

Having just spoken with manifest, their old record of 115 lifts in one day has been smashed. At the time of writing, 127 loads have taken off. What a fantastic day. This proves that given the weather, Skydive Hibaldstow can hold any big event.

Apologies folks for the lack of photos on this blog. It’s not intentional, but there have been a few ‘technical problems’ with uploading them. Rest assured, many have been taken and a gallery will be uploaded as soon as I can.
